What to do, and what not to do! when meeting someone for the first time
- Always make sure someone knows where you are going.
- Make sure someone has your mobile number.
- Every now and again phone a friend or text a friend to let them know where you are if you have moved pubs or place.
- If you are nervous you could always ask a friend to escort to the venue and sit a few metres away, then if you get into an compromising situation your friend could intervene
- You could even ask one of the staff at the place you are meeting to keep an eye on you as you are on blind date.
- Always have your mobile phone on never switch it off, you may need it. (it could always help.)
- Never leave your drink, you have only just met your date, too many times you hear about unfortunate people being spiked..
- Always stay in public places, remember he/she is a stranger to you. If he decides to take you else, object as its only your first date, and the purpose is to meet.
- Never go to some ones house on the first date and NEVER give out your details especially over the internet. Why not introduce them to your friends, you never know they may know them as its a small world
